I never experienced that, I tried doing one actual painting in my life and it turned out... eh...

But if it's like writing a poem and suddenly getting stuck over not being able to find that tiny little word, one little thing, and you stare for hours at the screen/notebook, feeling so stupid and frustrated - then yeah, I KNOW what you mean

Some days I write those words, others they write me.

I don't think that it's as frustrating as losing words - I write too, not creatively any more but for my PhD and find nothing so frustrating as losing that one perfect word that lingers just out of reach!

As for the painting, yeah... it turned out a bit 'eh' too! It looks more like a caricature than a portrait XD
